A closer look at the choices and ideas behind a well-used kitchen.

Grand Kitchen Stories

Write for us

Grand Kitchen Stories welcomes pitches that make kitchen tools, methods, spaces, habits or history easier to understand. Send proposals through the Contact page, with enough detail for us to assess the idea and its fit.

What we welcome

We are interested in clear, original ideas for explaining a kitchen choice, comparing approaches, exploring an object’s background or helping readers think through a familiar task. A strong pitch gives readers a useful way to understand the subject without requiring specialist access or risky work.

What to include

Describe the central question, the reader it would help and the main point the piece would make. Include a short outline, relevant experience or sources if useful, and note any commercial interest or previously published version. Do not send a complete article unless we have agreed to review one.

How to send a pitch

Use the Contact page and choose the editorial enquiry option. Proposals are reviewed for originality, clarity, scope and fit with the publication. We cannot promise a response time or acceptance, and an idea should not be treated as commissioned until agreed.
